The Negba Association celebrates its 20th anniversary.

The 2025–2026 school year is a very special year! Negba is celebrating 20 years of action, support, and education. It is an opportunity to look back on the memorable moments and key milestones that have shaped Negba into what it is today.

Over the past two decades, the association has welcomed approximately 1,400 children and teenagers in Be’er Sheva and Jerusalem, who have found at Negba a warm environment, support, and opportunities to grow.

Creation of the Negba association

The first three clubs for primary school children opened in Beer-Sheva, in collaboration with the French organization Les Cigognes” (The Storks). Founders of the association: Claude Kadouch (of blessed memory), Claude Meyer (of blessed memory), and Jean Bisseliches.

Opening of the first youth club

After four years of operation, at the request of the children and due to a lack of suitable structures for 12-18 year olds, Negba opened its first youth club in Beer-Sheva.

Opening of the first center in Jerusalem

In the Kiryat Menachem neighborhood, a home for primary school children was opened, followed by a youth club and the ‘Mosaic’ program for teenage girls.

Creation of the Negba House, a center for children and the community

The building, dedicated to Caty and Mona Dreyfuss, is located in the Dalet neighborhood of Be’er Sheva. The center houses the association’s offices, children’s clubs, youth clubs, a library, a music room, a central kitchen, and many other spaces…

Launch of the adult program

The Negba Association continues to support its former students after high school: during their military or national service, throughout their studies, or as they enter the workforce, and assists them in all aspects of their lives.

Opening of the music room and creation of the Negba musical ensemble

The Michel Bloch Music Room, located in the Negba Center in Be’er Sheva, welcomes the association’s children and teenagers for music learning, instrumental practice, and singing. The musical ensemble performs and sings at various association events.
