The Negba Association celebrates its 20th anniversary.
The 2025–2026 school year is a very special year! Negba is celebrating 20 years of action, support, and education. It is an opportunity to look back on the memorable moments and key milestones that have shaped Negba into what it is today.
Over the past two decades, the association has welcomed approximately 1,400 children and teenagers in Be’er Sheva and Jerusalem, who have found at Negba a warm environment, support, and opportunities to grow.
Opening of the first center in Ofakim
Creation of a sustainability education program
The program, created in memory of the association’s founder Claude Meir z.l., focuses throughout the year on nature- and environment-related activities, including gardening workshops, reducing paper and plastic use, energy saving, ecology, environmental responsibility, and more.
Dror LeHiyuch: Games and Stage Project
The children of the association learn theatre, improvisation, and stage presence in front of an audience.
At the end of each year, they present a festive closing performance in front of their families and other guests at the Be’er Sheva National Theatre of Performing Arts.
Opening of the music room and creation of the Negba musical ensemble
The Michel Bloch Music Room, located in the Negba House in Be’er Sheva, welcomes the association’s children and teenagers for music learning, instrumental practice, and singing.
The musical ensemble performs and sings at various association events.
Launch of the adult program
The Negba Association continues to support its former students after high school: during their military or national service, throughout their studies, or as they enter the workforce, and assists them in all aspects of their lives.

Creation of the Negba association
The first three clubs for primary school children opened in Beer-Sheva, in collaboration with the French organization Hessed and Maison Moriah.
